The old Taylor Swift is dead, but the new one is alive and well on the top of the charts for the third consecutive week. “Reputation” starts off its new week on top with 147,000 equivalent album units sold which, according to Billboard, is down 43% from last week.
Like any good capitalist, Taylor Swift made sure to create an artificial scarcity for “Reputation,” her album that dropped on November 10. The singer helped ensure her record-breaking sales figures by keeping the album off of streaming services for the rest of the month. That had executives stressing out, but everyone can finally take a deep breath. “Reputation” is now available for streaming.
Taylor Swift doesn’t have to give a crap about her bad reputation. That’s because the singer’s album is sitting atop the Billboard charts for the second week in a row, solidifying “Reputation” as a force to be reckoned with when it comes to sales even though the effort saw a sharp decline in units sold.

The former Fifth Harmony member recently took to Twitter to reveal that she had just now found the time to listen to Taylor’s new album. It’s not like “Reputation” has been out for two weeks and hasn’t broken records or anything.
