Miley Cyrus recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest to discuss her comeback single, “Malibu.” The singer dished on her improbable return to her wholesome roots from her edgy image, but she also laid out an important rule of her creative process. For Miley, solitude is a blessing.
After explaining how she takes influences from everyone she’s worked with, Miley said, “The less people around when I’m being creative, the better.” Miley wants to be her own “one-stop shop” when it comes to writing and recording new music.
Miley offered up an example of what that looks like as she shared a story about a dream. In her sleep, Miley was riding in a car with little sister Noah Cyrus when a song came on the radio. Miley immediately recognized it, but was shocked to find it didn’t actually exist after she woke up. So, she wrote it herself.
Miley also addressed her newfound move back towards her family’s country music ties. Apparently, Miley is hoping that her new vibes will help her win over some country singer that would otherwise end up on Team Blake Shelton on the next season of “The Voice.”
