Ariana Grande doesn’t get political very often. But after speaking out about objectification, it looks like the “Dangerous Woman” is leaving her filter in the off position. Ariana retweeted an Instagram post from one of her favorite songwriters which included a hashtag that took aim at the nation’s President-elect, poking fun at Donald Trump for his recent tweets about Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech.
Savan Kotecha, the songwriter behind Ariana’s hits “Into You” and “Bang Bang,” was promoting his latest collaboration with Ariana to see chart success when he took a shot at Donald. Sharing a screenshot from Billboard’s latest update on the chart success of “Side to Side,” Savan used the hashtag #WaitsForTrumpToCallSideToSideOverRated as he celebrated the song’s rise.
Savan is listed as a writer on Ari’s next single, “Everyday,” and he appeared in a new Instagram post from Ariana. She used that post to remind everyone that the track is dropping as a single soon.
