Adele is willing to try anything when it comes to saving her voice. The singer cancelled the last two shows of her tour due to concerns about her vocal chords. Now, anonymous sources say they saw Adele taking drastic measures to save her voice. Apparently, Adele was checking out a posh prospective private school for her son but she couldn’t exactly ask any questions.
“Adele wasn’t making a sound, even if she was asked a direct question by people unaware of her vocal issues she wouldn’t be tempted to answer,” a source says. Adele’s husband, Simon Konecki, had to serve as an interpreter for Adele as she struggled not to speak but still tried to be understood.
“It was almost funny at times because he joked that it was her made-up sign language,” the source says of Simon. Adele apparently wasn’t so amused, though: “It looked like it was really frustrating her and she stroked her throat a few times as if it was hurting her.”
Apparently, looking for a school in London means that the couple is not moving their family to Los Angeles. As Adele considers retiring from touring, she’s apparently preparing to settle down in the British capital.
“They said pretty firmly that they were back in the UK now for good after spending some time in Los Angeles,” the source adds.
