Taylor Swift is going rogue when it comes to music streaming. A new report claims Taylor has filed the papers to set up what sounds like a music streaming service in the style of Spotify, Apple Music or Tidal. According to TMZ, Taylor is trying to start a website “featuring non-downloadable multi-media content in the nature of audio recordings.” Taylor reportedly wants to call the site “Swifties.”

Typically the only song from DNCE that gets any attention is “Cake By The Ocean.” However, a new Spotify commercial shows that at least one person feels that the group’s song “Body Moves” should be heard–at a funeral.
“I just can’t imagine anyone listening to this at a funeral. That’s a pretty messed up funeral,” Joe says before envisioning the non-traditional funeral. Alessia Cara was also featured in a Spotify ad for her ties to a global warming playlist.

Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton created a Spotify playlist in honor of International Women’s Day yesterday. She describes the female-artist-only playlist as “A soundtrack for smashing glass ceilings.” This is not Hillary’s first playlist, as she also made one last summer.
The playlist includes songs from Demi Lovato, Sia, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, among others. Taylor Swift was noticeably missing from the playlist, because she isn’t on Spotify.
Check out Hillary’s interesting choices below.

Zayn Malik might be making more enemies than friends in his attempt to launch a solo career. Earlier today, Zayn retweeted a post that ripped Taylor Swift’s decision to remove her music from Spotify.
Taylor’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris, wasn’t having the shade and took to Twitter to fire back at the former One Direction member. “@FemaleTexts @zaynmalik You’ve made your money? Cool…f**k the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah f**k em.”
Calvin swiftly began to backtrack on his earlier statements and wished Zayn nothing but the best. “@zaynmalik best of luck, genuinely. You’ve got a great voice.” Zayn, however, was not having any of it. He ended the feud with another zinger, “Oh and I write my own sh*t too d*ckhead.”
Of course, it does seem that both Zayn and Calvin might be players in a slightly larger battle going on behind the scenes. Zayn was retweeting a comment that was as positive about Miley Cyrus as it was negative toward Taylor, and we have lately seen Miley calling out Taylor as a “role model” in the current issue of Marie Claire. Also, Taylor just featured the band Little Mix at her last concert, and Little Mix has been throwing disses pretty frequently in Zayn’s direction since his breakup with band member Perrie Edwards.
So we’re guessing that this Twitter beef might be part of tensions involving a few other notable celebs who – at this point – have managed to refrain from tweeting . . .
Do you think it was right of Calvin to have Taylor’s back? Or do you think Zayn’s perspective is justified in preferring Miley’s stance over Taylor’s?
