Demi Lovato Celebrates Impending Album With Private Launch PartyDemi Lovato continues to get closer to the release of “Tell Me You Love Me,” which means fans are getting closer to the promised land of blatantly obvious shade. On Friday, Demi partnered up with Spotify to celebrate the upcoming album launch with a special show for her superfans.

The private concert event was hosted in Los Angeles and it was definitely an intimate affair. Demi was surrounded by only a handful of fans as she played songs from her new album. In doing so, she officially gave the title track its live debut.

Secret Genius Liam Payne Breaks Into The Top Of The Charts With A Below Average Single

Why Is Liam Payne A Spotify Secret Genius featureLiam Payne just broke into the Billboard top 10 for the first time on his own. Apparently, that means he’s getting some special treatment from music biz big wigs. But he’s apparently playing coy about just what exactly that means.

Liam shared a mysterious pic Tuesday morning. In it, a figure in all black is standing with his back to the camera. If it is Liam in the shot, he’s got the hood up on a black sweatshirt that reads “Secret Genius” across the back.

It’s an apparent reference to Spotify’s Secret Genius program. The music streaming service announced the program in June as an initiative to bring more attention to the work of songwriters in the music world.

Spotify Snatches Ads Naming Justin Bieber The New “Latin King”

Spotify pulls ads calling Justin Bieber the latin king-1Spotify set off a lot of alarms when the streaming service began posted an ad minting Justin Bieber as the “Latin King,” but quickly learned what a huge mistake that was. Not soon after subscribers saw the ad, they began sounding off about how insensitive and incorrect such propaganda is–especially, since Justin doesn’t even perform “Despacito” anymore.

Taylor Swift Slithers Back To Streaming Services The Same Day Katy Perry Drops

Taylor Swift Comes Slithering Back To Streaming Services With Plenty Of Venom For Katy Perry featureTaylor Swift’s a publicity mastermind. The singer’s truest art probably comes in the headlines she makes–and the ones she steals. Pop music’s biggest snake is at it again. This time, she’s trying to squeeze the life out of Katy Perry’s album “Witness” by returning her entire catalogue to streaming services on the day of Katy’s release.

Taylor used to hate streaming services, but apparently stealing Katy’s thunder is a petty enough reason for her to make her return. Seven of Taylor’s albums, including a live album and deluxe editions of “Red” and “1989,” are available now on services like Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music and Pandora Radio.

Katy has been sounding off about Taylor a lot lately. She’s even dropped a Taylor diss track. But Katy is only human, after all. And the latest move by Taylor might mean this beef has plenty more time on the grill.

Listen to Katy’s new album and one of Taylor’s old albums below.

Is Taylor being calculated or is this just a coincidence?
