Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show had people talking. The conversation went a lot of places, but Gaga has had enough of one topic in particular: her body. She took to Instagram on Tuesday night to let the world know what she thinks.
“I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too,” Gaga wrote. “No matter who you are or what you do.”
Instead of hitting back at critics, Gaga’s message was for anyone else who has felt the pressure to live up to others’ expectations of success or standards of beauty. She wrote that being yourself is “the stuff of champions.”

Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl Halftime Show had a lot of people talking, but talk is cheap and the numbers are in. According to a report from Deadline, Gaga captured 117.5 million viewers for FOX. That number rockets her up the leaderboards to second place all-time when it comes to halftime show viewership. Only one other act brought more eyes to screens during the big game’s big break.
Lauren Jauregui may not be Demi Lovato just yet, but her latest Twitter gaffe is proving she’s one step closer. Lauren took to Instagram on Sunday night in protest of all the attention given to the NFL Super Bowl. While she deleted the original post, a part of it survived in a tweet that gives followers a taste of how Lauren feels about the massive annual sporting event.
While some stars attended the Super Bowl Sunday night in Houston, others took part in the longstanding watch party tradition. Selena Gomez linked up with some of her close friends at E! News host Jason Kennedy’s home. The singer somehow found herself labeled as a seventh wheel despite being fresh off of a romantic Italian getaway with The Weeknd. Selena outed her loneliness through photos and video from the Super Bowl watch party via Instagram Stories. She attempted to make light of her present dilemma, but it came off like an angsty and highly relatable complaint.
Selena and her rumored R&B boyfriend haven’t been exceedingly shy about public appearances so her decision to fly solo raises questions regarding his whereabouts. Granted, being cozied up with Justin Bieber’s most famous ex while watching a commercial featuring the “Sorry” singer seems like reason enough to skip out on the fun.

Lady Gaga’s halftime show wasn’t the only showstopper at Sunday night’s Super Bowl. The rest of the game was pretty entertaining, too. Stars like Lea Michele and Nick Jonas took to social media to react to the wild overtime finish between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.
New England’s epic comeback had people freaking out. After starting out down 28-3, the Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady led the team from behind to tie the game up in the final minute before winning the trophy in overtime. For fans in Houston and at home, the game was a thriller.
Unless you’re a Giants fan like Joe Jonas.
