Blake Lively isn’t apologizing for comments she made in an Instagram post that she claims was only intended to celebrate her body. ““It’s something I was proud of. I never meant to offend anyone,” she told radio host Sway Calloway on “Sway in the Morning.”
Last month, the Tarzana-born actress received backlash for quoting Sir-Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” and claiming to have an “Oakland booty” to describe her look at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. “I was celebrating my body. It’s nice to have a nice curve and not look like you’re starving to death,” she aded.
The actress made sure to remind everyone that even Sir-Mix-a-Lot felt her comment was taken out of context and defended her. “He was very defensive and kind,” she told the host about the rapper’s comments. “Because it’s just about celebrating women’s bodies, and that’s what I was doing.”
