Ed Sheeran appeared on Friday night’s episode of “The Graham Norton Show” and proved that he would be a great dad, which he really wanted to be. The problem for Ed will be finding a woman who buys into his odd idea of romance. “I once went on a date and brought a Lego set and made the Lego set and then left,” he confesses.
The singer admits to being a “big kid” and it definitely shaped his money-spending habits at the start of his career. “When my album went to number one, I was passing the Lego store and I saw the big Death Star and I went, ‘You know what, It’s time,'” he says. The obsession with Legos is only one part of the equation. He also has a room in his house filled with teddy bears.
The recent interview also attempted to cover an incident that might be equally as embarrassing as Ed’s toy collection. Back in November, the singer’s face was sliced by a sword at a royal party. Ed still isn’t talking about it. “Mate, I can’t talk about this,” Ed says. Although he’s clearly under some sort of media agreement regarding the incident, Ed contributes to the conversation with jokes. “It was James Blunt trying to get his pop career back,” he says when asked who actually cut his face.
