If Ally Brooke’s recent trip to Nashville means she’s really going country, then she had a chance to do some networking on Tuesday night. The Fifth Harmony singer took the court at a San Antonio Spurs game to sing the National Anthem solo before a stadium crowd.
Ally’s no stranger to the song–Fifth Harmony sang it as a group at Wrestlemania a few years back. But she didn’t have her girls to back her up this time. Ally’s solo version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was unaccompanied, leaving Ally’s voice to live or die on its own merits. Aside from a little wobble at the end, it’s not that bad.
Ally’s a San Antonio native and she’s worked to build a good rep in her hometown. As Fifth Harmony continues to teeter on the edge of a breakup, all of the girls in the group have been finding new avenues to pursue. Whether it’s Normani Kordei’s run on “Dancing With The Stars” or Lauren Jauregui’s political engagement, each member of the foursome is finding her solo sea legs.
