This “Voice” Contestant’s Rihanna Cover Might Be Better Than The Original

Contestant On The Voice Offers Up A Lesson For Rihanna On Her Own SongMiley Cyrus may be sitting out as a judge for “The Voice” this season, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have some wild moments. On Monday night, a contestant from Team Alicia Keys stole the show as he brought the house down with a version of Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain.”

Chris Blue gave the track a doo-wop, soul twist as he took it all over his range. Full of impressive runs, the cover was so powerful, even Alicia didn’t look like she could believe it.

A Bored Miley Cyrus Becomes “The Voice” Cheerleader After Losing The Season

Miley Cyrus Supportive the voice-4Miley Cyrus may be out of “The Voice” competition, but that’s not stopping her from cheering on the rest of the coaches. Since the singer no longer has a team to root for, Miley is spending her days on set cheering on the remaining contestants and their respective coaches.

She even gave support to Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, despite being all about girl power earlier this season. Although her team may be gone, the singer did spend her Sunday night at dinner with them and her mom, Tish Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus Kisses Her “Voice” Team Goodbye

Miley Cyrus Kisses Her Team Good-Bye As They're Eliminated From The Voice featureMiley Cyrus made a lot of waves in her first year as a coach on “The Voice.” Tuesday night, those waves broke as Miley’s final two team members were eliminated from the competition. Aaron Gibson and Ali Caldwell didn’t make it into the final four.

Miley hinted that she might’ve been sweating a bit heading into the results show. Her worries were legit because Aaron was eliminated immediately as one of two contests on the low end of the voting. Ali had a chance for an instant save to make it into the final four, and she gave her all on a rendition of Rihanna’s “Sledgehammer.” However, even a tweet from Miley spurring her fans to use the hashtag #VoteSaveAli wasn’t enough. Ali lost the instant save spot to Josh Gallagher from Team Adam. Smilers weren’t having it, though.

The hashtags #TheVoiceIsRigged and #SmilersExposedNBCParty started trending after outraged Team Miley fans cried foul. Fans have even started a Change.org petition for a vote recount and, due to some fan activity, the video of Ali’s elimination has close to 3,000 dislikes on YouTube.

Check out posts from Miley and her team on the results below, plus video of Ali’s performance and elimination and some #TheVoiceIsRigged tweets from fans.

Do you think this season of “The Voice” was rigged?

Miley Cyrus Brings Dolly Parton And Pentatonix To The Voice For Jolene featureMiley Cyrus welcomed Dolly Parton to “The Voice” on Tuesday night. The duo was backed by Pentatonix as they sang Dolly’s classic song “Jolene.”

Miley pulled out all the stops to welcome her godmother to the show. She even gifted Dolly a pair of flashy sunglasses with her name on them–just like the ones Miley’s been sporting. But Dolly wasn’t the only family member Miley welcomed to Tuesday night’s episode. Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, came along with Miley’s grandma, who Miley calls Mammie. Mammie even took a turn in Miley’s coaching chair.

Check out a video of Miley and Dolly’s performance below, plus see pics of her with Dolly and her grandma.
