The ladies of Little Mix have yet to escape harsh criticism for their televised wardrobe choice. On Sunday night’s finale of “The X Factor,” Little Mix teamed up with Charlie Puth to perform their duet, “Oops.” The ladies wore coordinating pink overcoats before stripping down to leotards to tackle another track, “Touch.” This outfit change left many viewers spewing opinions that echoed the stripper accusations from Little Mix’s last “X Factor” performance.
Louis Tomlinson brought “The X Factor” crowd to its feet and nearly to tears after debuting his first solo single, an inspirational dance anthem, just days after losing his mother to cancer. The track is called “Just Hold On!” and was created and performed in collaboration with Steve Aoki.
Louis Tomlinson’s mother, Johannah Deakin, lost her battle with Leukemia and fans, friends and otherwise quickly jumped in to offer support and love. Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Simon Cowell and many more were among the first to send well-wishes to their friend in mourning. Louis broke the social media silence Saturday afternoon to thank everyone for their kind words during this difficult time.
Yesterday, Adele performed “Hello” for the “X Factor” UK finale. The singer took to the stage debuting a short haircut, but it’s not her hair that has everyone talking. Several social media accounts are reporting that Adele’s “X Factor” appearance was pre-recorded hours before the live broadcast. One Direction performed “History” and “Infinity” during last night’s “X Factor” UK finale. The appearance also marked the beginning of the group’s 18-month hiatus. During the first song, a photo tribute played behind the stage. The group finished its appearance with a hug, and Liam thanked everyone for their support.
Simon Cowell offered some parting words to the band he formed in 2010 by saying, “I want to take a chance now to say, thank you, you’ve been an absolute pleasure to work with. Four… Five of the nicest guys I ever met. Enjoy the time off, have a fantastic time.” Simon also put together a star-filled video tribute to send One Direction off, and it included familiar faces like James Corden and 5 Seconds of Summer.
