Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson are ready to be rappers. The former One Direction singers may have initially pursued very different directions as solo artists, but the duo is teaming up again for a hip-hop collab if you believe some sarcastic tweets. They’re even planning on borrowing some chains from cringe-tastic rapper Liam Payne.

Liam Payne stopped by the Pride of Britain Awards Monday night. On the red carpet, he took a question about his strange exit from a performance on “The X Factor” Saturday night. After his performance, Liam appeared to grab Cheryl from the audience and flee the scene.
There’s a new Harry Styles that may soon take the music industry by storm. Harrison Styles mades his “The X Factor” debut on Sunday night to perform for the panel of judges that seven years ago also had the One Direction singer’s fate in their hands.
“I do often get mistaken for Harry Styles – it happened a lot more when I was younger going through secondary school although a bit less now,” the singer said. Harry 2.0 wasn’t too upset over having the same name as the boy band singer, but that may have had more to do with the attention from the ladies. “I like Harry Styles, he’s a cool and funny guy with a great tone and range. I don’t mind sharing the same name. When I was younger I suppose girls found it cool.”
If his frantic tour cancellation was any indication, it isn’t easy being Justin Bieber. Two “X Factor” hopefuls found that out the hard way on a new episode, when they were shut down with four hard passes by the judges. Achilles and Phillip, a set of Greek twins performing under the name Pretty Boy Karma, learned that it takes more than abs to be the Biebs.
While they were hoping for stadium shows, girls and underwear modeling gigs, Pretty Boy Karma was shut down quickly. Despite their self-proclaimed resemblance to Justin, the duo’s performance of “Boyfriend” was too hard for some of the judges to watch. Sharon Osbourne had to cover her face when the guys started flashing their abs.
Niall Horan recently took to Twitter to share that he was celebrating a very special anniversary. Monday makes it seven years since Niall applied to be on “The X Factor,” the TV show that landed him in One Direction and launched his career.
The singer was a bit reflective as he considered how far he’s come since landing a spot on the reality talent competition. Some of Niall’s new music has already served as a look back at Niall’s life before One Direction. His new post highlights again how far he’s come from the 16-year-old who was just trying to land a spot on the show.
Calling himself the “Irish Justin Bieber,” Niall passed his audition thanks to the good graces of judge Katy Perry. But after seven years of 1D–including the ongoing hiatus–Niall isn’t exactly the new Justin, and fans might be thankful for that. While Justin faces a revolving door of legal troubles and fan drama, Niall spends most of his free time on the golf course.
Who knows if 16-year-old Niall could’ve seen where he’d be seven years later? But if he’s able to hang around like this, maybe being boring isn’t such a bad thing after all?

Liam Payne just celebrated a special anniversary, and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wasn’t involved. Tuesday, the singer tweeted that it had been six years since the 2010 audition that landed him a spot on the UK incarnation of “The X Factor.” It was the season that would spawn One Direction.
But it wasn’t Liam’s first time on the show. He was on the 2008 edition of the same program until Simon Cowell booted him because he sensed that Liam “wasn’t ready.”
Check out Liam’s tweet and some fan appreciation for the singer below, plus video of the audition that got Liam onto “The X Factor” for the second time.
