Don’t Expect To Hear Songs About The Weeknd On Selena Gomez’s Album

Selena Gomez won't be singing about the weekndSelena Gomez stopped by the Zach Sang show on Friday, further disappointing fans by confirming that she won’t be singing about her relationship with The Weeknd on her upcoming album. The news comes after the singer revealed that a collaboration with her boyfriend is out of the cards.

“I feel like for so long, I think you know, being a young woman, I’ve been single for like, four years? I think it’s so important and I spent so much time making sure that everything that I do, I do for myself,” Selena said. Not wanting to repeat history, the singer is choosing not to have her relationships–bad or good–be the inspiration behind her music.

“The moment I start doing something because I’m influenced by someone else, whoever it may be, it just doesn’t work out so believe it or not, I keep that very, very separate, which is good,” she added.

Miley Cyrus Kisses And Tells About The Song That Haunts Her And Katy Perry

Miley Cyrus Kisses And Tells All About Katy PerryMiley Cyrus has moved on from her marijuana-induced music making days in favor of a more toned-down sound, but that doesn’t mean that her past music still doesn’t haunt her. In an interview with Zach Sang, the singer played “Marry, Eff, Kill” with a few of her biggest hits and revealed that “Wrecking Ball” would easily go on the kill list.

“That’s something you can’t take away,” she said. “Swinging around naked on a wrecking ball lives forever.” Miley hates the video so much she fears that it will be played at her funeral. “No matter how much I just frolic with Emu, I’m always the naked girl on the wrecking ball,” Miley said. “I should have thought how long that was going to have to follow me around.”

The singer didn’t just reveal her hate for her songs, but also opened up about her and Katy Perry’s longtime friendship. “We were actually just realizing the other day that next year, we’ll have been friends for 10 years,” Miley added.”When [Perry] came out with ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ I was doing the Hannah Montana movie, and I heard her on the radio. They said, ‘Who did you write that about?’ She said me!”

If what Miley says is true that would mean the smooch between the ladies happened when Miley was 16.
