Nick Jonas is always a bridesmaid and never a bride. Now that he can go “Anywhere” in the world, he’s been widening his friends circle so he can have a healthy rotation of couples to terrorize as a third wheel.

Thomas Rhett may have gotten Selenators hopes up about an album feature a little too soon after revealing the two collaborated back in April. Now the country singer isn’t too sure that their song will even make the cut for the album.
In an interview with Rare Country, the “Craving You” singer got into a little more detail about the song and he didn’t sound too sure that fans will be able to hear it. “It’s possible,” he said. “Selena did sing a song of mine. It’s still sort of up in the air if it’s going to actually make the record.”
Thomas and Selena never spent time in the studio together, but Thomas says he was blown away just by talking on the phone with her. “I’ve only been able to talk to her over the phone but I was blown away just how super nice and respectful [she was,]” he said.
The singer wasn’t ashamed to admit that he was a bit nervous to talk to her–especially, when he wanted her to sing his song better. “Like, I was scared to say, ‘Maybe if you try this’ to the biggest superstar that literally exists in this world and I’m just me?”

Nick Jonas’ 2015 was complicated, but his 2016 was simply disappointing. Following up on his album and tour with Demi Lovato, it looked like Nick was going to be shut out of all of the major award shows. Even the award shows started to feel bad as MTV gave Nick a consolation prize after he was snubbed and Radio Disney gave Nick a “Hero” award.
However, Nick has a chance to bring home some more hardware coming up. He’s been nominated for the 2017 CMT Performance of the Year award for his performance of “Close” with Thomas Rhett featuring Danielle Bradbery on “CMT Crossroads.” Nick is up against some stiff competition in the category, though, squaring off against country music heavyweight Jason Aldean, Meghan Trainor’s performance with Jill Scott and Kelsea Ballerini and a duet from Alicia Keys and Nick’s go-to sad time musician, Marren Morris.

The 2016 CMA Awards were held Wednesday night and Thomas Rhett took home “Single of the Year” for “Die A Happy Man.” Nick Jonas, the country star’s unlikely duet partner, couldn’t be happier. “Happy for you man! You deserve this,” he tweeted to Thomas.
The bond between these two artists was first made when Thomas helped Nick debut “Chainsaw” on “CMT Crossroads.” The country singer even joined Nick on stage during the Nashville stop of the “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now” where they performed “Chainsaw” and Thomas’ award-winning “Die A Happy Man.”

Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato had a treat for their Nashville fans for their Wednesday night “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now” stop. The touring duo was joined by country singers Thomas Rhett and Brad Paisley who they have both worked with in the past.
Nick and Thomas, who previously shared the stage on “CMT Crossroads,” performed “Chainsaw” and “Die A Happy Man.” Brad then came out to join Nick and “Without A Fight” collaborator Demi for a performance of “Stone Cold.”
After the show, Demi and Brad spent some time together smoking cigars as the tour crew took down the stage to get ready for the next city.
