Billboard’s “Women In Music” aired on Lifetime last night, and honored Tori Kelly, Fifth Harmony, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga and more women who have made contributions to the music industry in the past year. Tori Kelly — Billboard’s 2015 “Breakthrough” — performed an acoustic version of her latest single “Hollow.”
Fifth Harmony, named “Group Of The Year,” performed a medley of “Worth It,” “Independent Women,” and “We Are Family” with a piano in the background. Selena tried to fight those lip-sync accusations last night by performing “Same Old Love” after accepting her award for Chart Topper.
During her acceptance speech, Demi admitted that she’s been a rule breaker since the first grade when she punched a boy after he said “girls suck!” Lady Gaga was presented the “Woman of the Year” honor by her mother before performing “Til It Happens To You.”
