Via Team Jonas: The Jonas Brothers will be performing LIVE on the O Music Awards this wee and they are nominated two O Music Awards, Fan Army and Best Artist Instagram. They will also be gracing 24-hour livestream with some tunes! The O Music Awards go down THIS WEEK, June 19, kicking off at 7 PM EST right here at OMusicAwards.com.
The Jonas Brothers are primed to start off 24 hours of live music at this time, the first of 50+ bands to play our day-long, online music festival. The show will also feature a passel of amazing award presentations, as well as musician, motivational speaker and all-around party animal Andrew W.K. attempting to break a new world record, longest drum session in a retail store, in the Oakley store in Times Square.
So what did you think of your nomination? Joe: I was very surprised. It’s cool, you think that you are active and use social media quite a bit, but don’t expect to be recognized for it. It’s a really cool show and we’re looking forward to being part of it. It’s just a great feeling.
So how did you get started using Instagram? I remember I was a little bit late to the game of Instagram. I was pretty active on Twitter and using what Twitter had, TwitPics and stuff. I remember Nick got onto to Instagram and he was like, ‘Dude, this is awesome.’ So I checked it out and I was hooked.
I’m obviously pretty addicted to it now. Every city that I go to, it’s always nice because you can use a geotag and show where you are. It actually kind of helps you to remember the places you travel to.
