Selena Gomez, 'Skrillex Inspired Me'
Selena Gomez is going to be dancing a lot to her new album! 'To be honest, most of the record speeds up. With this album, I got to record over 24 songs, and it was really fun for me to have more of a creative control and more of a say, and that's what was super important to me with this album.
I want it to be a mixture of everything I'm obsessed with. I love to dance and I love to make people dance. It's the best feeling. Doing 'Spring Breakers' was really fun, because Skrillex and Cliff Martinez did the soundtrack, and [Skrillex] kind of inspired me with a baby dubstep, because I have a few songs that have that.
Britney [Spears] was one of my inspirations. I've watched 'NSYNC, Janet Jackson, they were all about performances. It wasn't necessarily about stage. If you look at any Janet Jackson video, half the time she's in jeans, and I love that. She looks stunning because it's all about performing, so I kinda want to get more into that again.'
Selena Gomez Too Honest W/ Her Fans?
Selena Gomez's music video for 'Come & Get It' was quite revealing, but is she willing to be just as revealing in her new music? Selena told MTV: 'With everything that I've been through, I wanted to exude confidence, because I'm only 20, I'll be 21 this year, so I'm still figuring out what on earth I am or what I'm doing. So for me, I wanted to make sure that's what my music said.'
Song she relates to the most on the album: ''Slow Down' is one of my favorite tracks on the record. It's basically just about having this moment and not having to rush it, because I don't know how many times I've been like, 'I just want to be married and over this,' but this is what we're supposed to be enjoying. So that's really more of what I wanted the album to be about, because I think, through people's opinions and everything that happens, they're expecting something else, but I just want it to exude confidence and strength.
With anything that I do, I feel like people assume that I say something that they get or they know, at the end of the day, it's super private to me," she said. "It's definitely important for me to keep that, but there is one song on the album I wanted to share a little bit more than I've ever shared before. It's a really pretty song. It is the only ballad, but the rest of the time, I like keeping a little mystery, because whether I tell you everything you want to know right now, they are still going to twist it and turn it into something else.
Half the time I'm too honest onstage when I'm performing. I'm like, 'I wanted to tell you guys ..'and my team is like, 'No!' But as an artist, whether it's acting, performing, singing, writing, you want to share that, because that's where you want the outlet to go. You want to have people understand you a little, but better, but in your own interpretation.'
Selena is planning a massive birthday bash to celebrate her 21st birthday: 'I'm gonna have a huge party, so I'm excited. I think my friends are more excited than I am, to be honest. Because they're older than me, so they're like, 'We can finally take you places!''

Selena Come & Get It In Billboard Top 20!
Selena Gomez announced that she will donate $ 1 from each ticket sold from his show in Boston for The One Fund Boston. One Fund was created by Governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Boy,
To help the victims of the attacks during the Boston Marathon. Three people died and over 175 were injured in the tragic event of April 15. Selena will be on stage in Boston at the TD Garden on October 12.

Selena Gomez 'Britney Spears Evolution'
Selena Gomez credit Britney Spears as an inspiration behind her upcoming Stars Dance World Tour and last month's Movie Awards performance, claiming that 'I'm a Slave 4 U' was her favorite performance of any awards show.
Following Sel's performance, Brit tweeted, 'Wow @SelenaGomez.. 'Come & Get It' on the #mtvmovieawards was incredible! One of my favorite songs out there right now! And thank you for all of the kind words about the VMA Slave performance ..you're too sweet! Means a lot to me.'
Sel: 'It was actually the second time that she tweeted me.. I died the first time. I didn't believe it at first, but it was really sweet, because even with the inspirations through the outfits and the performances, she's a huge inspiration when it comes to performing. 'Selena said she would be 'terrified' to talk to Spears.
Spears released her jaw-dropping video for 'I'm a Slave 4 U,' shedding her good-girl image for a more sexy look, which, also at the age of 20, is exactly what Gomez is doing with 'Come & Get It.'
Selena: 'I think she's one of the best that made that transition. That video ["Slave 4 U"] is so hot, it's incredible, so I love that, and I definitely wanted to do that with my transition, but I don't think there's a path you have to follow. Selena: 'It's sweet. It’s not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting. I’m sure he’ll love it too.' Will they get back together: 'You can’t help who you date. So I wouldn’t swear off that or say that’s what I want again. I have to go through the emotions and feel it out. I’m doing my own thing, being with my friends, and he’s doing very well too.'

1. HER #1 PRIORITY AT THIS MOMENT: PUSHING BOUNDARIES Just shy of her 21st birthday (on July 22), Gomez is actively stirring the pot a little as she seeks bold life and career changes. 'This is a weird transition for me,' she says. 'I want to keep pushing myself so I never feel settled. I don’t really know if it’s going to end up working. I’m stressed out most of the time.'
Gomez would like to eventually say so long to music to concentrate solely on acting. She imagines a career modeled on stars like Shia LaBeouf, Jennifer Lawrence & Natalie Portman, actors who are continually reinventing themselves, she says. (LaBeouf, she is quick to point out, also started on Disney Channel. Gomez starred for five years on megahit series Wizards of Waverly Place.)
