Lenovo Vibe K5 Note: All you need to know

Lenovo Vibe-K5 Note

The Chinese handset maker, Lenovo is all set to launch the newest iteration of K Note series, today in India and we cannot stop ourselves from getting excited. Lenovo Vibe K4 Note was one of the best handsets in the Indian handset market. However, the users have fewer grudge against the handset pertaining to the poor build quality. It seems that the brand has now vastly improve upon the last generation as Lenovo Vibe K5 Note appears to be a better device in every aspect. Before the launch of the handset, here is a round up of all things known about the Vibe K5 Note at the moment.

Metal Design

One of the major grievances that Lenovo Vibe K4 Note users had was that the plastic build of the handset did not inspire confidence. This was a deal breaker since the handset was quite powerful and one of the best in the industry. Lenovo seems to have paid heed to the feedback as Vibe K5 Note boasts an all metal design, which feels quite premium in the handset with circular fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. The only downside we could find with the design of the handset is that the device looks eerily similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which is its competition.

Specifications

This handset has already been launched in China in two variants viz. 2GB and 3GB RAM, however, the one to be launched today is coming with a massive 4 GB of RAM. Moreover, the device is powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which definitely expected to be a powerhouse. The brand is gonna offer the device with 16 GB (or may be 32GB) of internal storage, that can be expanded using a micro SD card.

Display

The new handset, for sure, is going to come flaunting a 5.5-inch display on its front panel, which would put it in the phablet category. It has been blessed with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which means user will be delight with with the super crisp and bright display on this handset. The pixel density of 401 PPI makes sure that color reproduction, sharpness and viewing angles on the display is quite impressive.

Camera

The rear panel of this handset would feature the same 13 Megapixels snapper that was found on the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note. There is no complains regarding this camera as the real world performance of the camera is pretty decent. However, Lenovo has bumped the front camera on the handset from 5 Megapixels to 8 Megapixels in Vibe K5 Note. This is a good news for those who love clicking selfies on regular basis.

Price and availability

This new handset is available in China for 1099 Yuan, which translates roughly to INR 11,500. However, the Indian version of the handset will be coming with double the RAM and so we can expect Lenovo Vibe K5 Note price to be tagged around INR 12,000 just like its predecessor. The device will be available exclusively on Flipkart and it is yet be known whether the brand will stick to flash sale model or an open sale.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is one of the most anticipated handsets in India, which boasts of some serious specifications. Moreover, it also comes with support for ANT VR headset and TheatreMax technology. However, it remains to be seen whether the brand will bundle the VR headset with this device as well, like last year.
