Lava today launched the successor of earlier launched Iris Atom 2, called as ‘Lava Iris Atom 2X’ which can also be called as a budget smartphone priced at just Rs. 4499. The new Iris Atom 2X is a Dual SIM smartphone with dual Standby running on Android Lollipop operating system. It features a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display offering 854 x 480 pixels resolution. The only drawback of this device is it dont support 4G connectivity, but only the standard connectivity options including 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.
Lava has powered Iris Atom 2X with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired up by 1GB of RAM. In terms of storage, we get only 8GB internal memory but that could be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. In the camera department, Atom 2X has a 5 Megapixel camera with LED Flash at rear facing and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. The phone is backed up with 2000mAh battery.
