Lava has launched a new budget friendly phablet in its A series, named Lava A82. It is available at the MRP of Rs. 5,299 online, while TataCliq is selling the phone at discounted price of Rs. 4,549/- The new Lava A82 comes with mid ranged specifications which is very similar to Lava P7 specs that was launched last year. In fact, i cannot see any change in the specifications. Don’t know why Lava launched it again with another name.
Anyways, Lava A82 features a 5-inch FWVGA display offering 854 x 480 pixels resolution. It comes out of the box with Android 5.1 Lollipop but is said to be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow very soon. The Dual SIM phone is powered with 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired up with 1GB of RAM. Seems good for performance. As per storage, we have an 8GB built-in memory and support for up to 32GB microSD card.
In the camera department, Lava A82 has exactly the same camera as P7. It carries a 5 Megapixel shooter with LED Flash at rear facing, and a 2 Megapixel front facing camera with LED flash of its own for Selfie fans. Being budget phone, it has only basic connectivity support that includes 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Lava has backed up the phone with 2000mAh battery.
