Alcatel has launched 3 new mid ranged smartphones including Alcatel A50, Alcatel A30 Plus and Alcatel Idol 5S. Priced at $149.99 which is approximately Rs. 9,700, the new Alcatel A50 is very similar to A30 Plus, while Idol 5S is the superior one. Talking about the phone in details, the A50 comes out of the box running Android 7.0 and features a 5.2 inch IPS HD display with Asahi Dragontrail glass protection and offers 1280 × 720 pixels resolution.
Alcatel has powered A50 with 1.5GHz Quad-Core Mediatek MT6738 processor paired up with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. As per storage we get onboard 16GB storage memory which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. Under camera section, it has a 13 Megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash at rear facing, while on the front we get a 5 Megapixel Selfie camera with LED flash.
