After much confusion and an angry tweet from Bella Thorne, “Famous In Love” has officially been cancelled by Freeform. Over the weekend, producer I. Marlene King was the one to break the news to fans and Bella that she would now have to rely on Instagram to maintain her relevance.
“I am deeply grateful for the #FamousInLove cast, crew and our passionate fans,” the show creator wrote. “I could not be more saddened by today’s news.” Last week, the show’s future was still up in the air despite reports that a season three wouldn’t be happening.
Without confirmation, Bella expressed her anger at the network for not calling her directly to tell her she was unemployed. Following the official announcement, Bella has remained noticeably quiet.
I. Marlene King doesn’t have much to worry about in terms of her job with Freeform as the “Pretty Little Liars” spin-off “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” will make its TV premiere in September. She does, however, want to give fans the ending they deserve.
