They had launched a few good tablet some time ago, but after that they took a bit long time for introducing a new model.

iberry Auxus CoreX8 3Giberry Auxus CoreX8 3G looks to be a bit promising model here. But the price matters a lot. If it is under Rs.20000  then this tablet has a direct completion from Galaxy Tab 3. The tablet offer you a 7inch IPS Display and its powered by a octa core processor. For ram it comes with 2GB memory that is enough for running various apps and games. It does not comes with Kitkat. It will come with Android 4.2 Jellybean OS and till yet iBerry had not provided any assurance about the OTA updates for this tablet. For storage 16Gb looks enough for everyone. After checking out the specs highlight you might be a bit interested to know more about this table. Lets checkout it in detail but before that let’s have a quick look at its highlights:

Design & Hardware:

iberry Auxus CoreX8 has a appearance very cost to Samsung Galaxy Tab. It is sleek and has a 7inch IPS display on the front side. This screen is capable of giving you maximum resolution of 1024×768 at 163ppi. The display looks promising when you are using it for watching movies, for playing games and for web surfing. It is clear and sunlight visibility is also good. Being a 7inch screen tablet, the size become more portable when you are holding compare to bigger size tablet. Color output by the front screen is vibrant and great. It will not hurt your eyes much. You can get a clear view of your photos and videos on the same. The screen features a 10-Point multi-touch display where you can use it more comfortably with different touch gesture. Screen touch is really smooth here. You don’t really have to swipe hard to change the menu. Overall screen is quiet good here. it is impressive in all form and very easy to use with your single hand also.

There are light sensor on the top side which manage the brightness automatically depending on your room light. This sensor also manage the screen brightness when you are trying to use the tab in sunlight. But somehow I do not find a maximum visibility support. Still at maximum brightness when you in sunlight the screen turns to black and makes small text hard to read. At the top side there is a earpiece with proximity and ambient light sensor. A 2MP basic camera lies in the same line. This camera is good for video chatting and you can also record hd videos from it. But do not expect much from this. 2MP is relatively low and can produce dark images when you don’t have much light around you. At the bottom there are a few physical keys. This are capacitive buttons. This are home, return and menu key. This is similar to Samsung Tab. the power button is placed on the right side with volume keys. It has a chrome finish and does not looks merged with the design.

It pops out and feel rough on hand. There is a back button also available with a led light on the body. This light turn on when you are charging the phone. It turns to green when the battery is full. Otherwise this led does not do anything else. I was thinking this would be the notification led for the tablet. iberry Auxus CoreX8 has a very sleek design. It is think and can be good for keeping in bag. It has a chrome rim on the sides that add more to the design. At the backside you can find a complete glossy body. This glossy surface easily catch dust and fingerprints. You can add a good flipcover on the same. Speaker is placed on the top side which is able to mange good audio output. Almost all ports are placed at the bottom site. Like the 3G port wit micro sd card slot and usb port also. everything is at the bottom part. You can use upto 64GB sd card on the same and it comes with 16GB internal storage. This is quiet enough for copying anything. 3.5mm audio jack is also placed at the bottom side which can be a bit uncomfortable when you are carrying it.

The entire weight of this tablet is around 388gram which makes it light and good to hold. A 5MP camera is also placed at the backside which comes with led flash support. The body design is good here. It does not look cheap from any angle. The tablet has a decent hardware configuration that makes it impressive to use also. It is powered by 1.8 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa core 1.8 GHz processor. And further supported by 2 GB ram. Which makes the output really fast. It mostly has a Android 4.2 Jelly Bean stock rom. The tablet give you all common type of connectivity options. It supports 3G sim and also has a wifi with Bluetooth and gps. It also provide you a usb and hdmi out port.

Camera:

iberry Auxus CoreX8  comes with a 5MP Primary camera which is not great but good enough to take photos outdoor. It is a average camera. IT is good to have LED flash here because this add more light to the images. iberry Auxus CoreX8 can give you average image output. It mostly run on the stock android rom where the camera app is basic. You can use different features in the app make your photos appear more better. Like you can use the low light mode through which images are bit clear and the camera uses flash everywhere. I am not very much impressed with that. When you are outdoors in sunlight the photos are nice when sunlight falls directly on your face. The camera does not has any advance image processing features. This is one of the biggest drawback of iberry Auxus CoreX8 . So it is not good to expect much from iberry Auxus CoreX8  when it comes to photography. The same is applicable for videos also. You can record 1080p videos but not with great clarity.

Software:

iberry Auxus CoreX8 runs on stock Jellybean firmware. This is the latest one before Kitkat. Many tablets are getting this new update but iberry Auxus CoreX8  remains on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is disappointing. There is nothing special here. The UI is quiet basic and if you had used a few tablet before which has stock android OS then you will notice a lot amount of similarity in this. The tablet has a few set of pre-installed apps which are not helpful. You can get as many of them from Google Play. The notification panel is simple and appear from the left side. It gives you a quick settings menu through which you can manage the tab settings easily. There is a energy saving option available in iberry Auxus CoreX8 through which you can preserve a battery.

It comes with 16GB internal storage. Among which only 11.07gb is available for the users. And for ram there is 2GB ram among which only 1.2Gb is available. Which is quiet enough to run different apps and game on iberry Auxus CoreX8. It will be good if iBerry can provide us a Kitkat update on the same. In future. I am quite sure that as per the hardware config this tab has you can run Kitkat on the same. The tablet as I told before brings up with few apps. Most of them are default. You get extra thing like ES File Explorer, UTPlayer and ES Task Manager. There is a dedicated app available for installing OTA updates in the tablet. This will be easy to manage different OTA updates released by the company. iberry Auxus CoreX8 has a single sim slot support. You can use Mini sim on the same. Through that you can take calls, you can send sms. Using a good headphone will help you to use tablet like a Smartphone.

Performance and Battery Life:

iberry Auxus CoreX8 is powered by Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 5410 processor. And 2GB ram. The octa core cpu gives enough power to the tablet to run different application sand games. For graphic it is further supported by PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. You can play different games on it and it is ideal for gaming also. The tablet does not lag at different applications. That is because of 2GB ram. Processing is really fast. Benchmarking results are impressive here. The tablet gives a smooth performance at long run. You can play all hd games on the same and it does not lag. But this can drain out the battery fast. The tablet comes with a 4800mAh battery which is enough for 5 to 6 hours of usage if you are using the tab for calling, internet and gaming. Otherwise if you use it for basic purpose then you get more better output. The battery life is decent. It is good to keep the power saver option on so that you can simply get more battery.

Conclusion:

iberry Auxus CoreX8 is a good tablet for those who need one with 3G and gaming feature. It is suitable for mobile sausage also. Through 3G sim support you have constant internet connectivity. The tablet price is termed around Rs.24000 approx. This is not yet confirmed but if this tablet fail appear in the market with this price then this makes it really costly. I hope there will be some relief in the cost.
