Asus ZenFone 5 Review

Camera:

Asus ZenFone 5 gives you a 8 megapixel rear camera. It works on Asus proprietary camera technology called as PixelMaster. This technology gives you the best image look on your phone screen. It also optimize the image to add professional quality kind of stuff. The camera also has a f/2.0 aperture. It is further supported by file element lens. The camera app is having many set of features that you can use to take amazing photos.

You can adjust the focus, exposure, you can enable panorama, tilt shift, hdr, etc. It has a low light mode which also comes with many high end phone. Through this you can take great images on automatic mode. Photos are nice even when you are taking them in low light. With flash support you get enough light to take photos in dark. The camera part of Asus ZenFone 5  is handy and impressive. PixelMaster technology help you to great quality photos. You can also take still shots of a moving object.

Performance:

Asus ZenFone 5  is powered by 2Ghz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor. I was having a quiet high expectation from the phone but after using this for long time I am not really happy with the same. The phone lags in between when you are trying to work with multiple apps. This is really annoying. Because here we have a dual core Intel processor and it is not working as expected. For example you are installing different apps in the background and at the same time you are trying to play a game. The phone just freezes a lot. Benchmarking score prove that this phone is not really a great gaming phone. That makes the phone a bit low on usage.

Battery life:

Asus ZenFone 5 run on 2110 mah battery. This is not a very high battery but enough to give you around 5 to 8 hrs of usage depending on your requirement. The battery is short according to me. If you have two sim and both have active internet connection then the battery drain out really fast. You have to use the integrated power saving tools in the phone that can preserve the battery life from unwanted operations. It comes with a ultra saving mode. A mode through which the phone turn of not required stuff when the phone goes in sleep mode. You can also use different third party battery saving application which are widely available on Google Play.

Conclusion:

Asus ZenFone 5 r can be great choice for those who need a mid range phone. It has amazing UI and the overall design is also amazing. But due to lack of good output I am not really sure to advice this phone or not. With nice 5inch screen, dual core cpu and 1GB ram still phone falls shorter compared to a few HTC models. It wills surely impress you in terms of design and looks.

It is sleek and gives a good grip to hold. But when it comes to usage the phone fell short. It can lag if you are trying to use different apps or when you are playing games. For camera image quality is amazing when you are outdoor while taking pictures in flash makes it more grainy even after having such an amazing flash. If the performance is optimized then this device will be one of the best choice.
