Never Seen Before A Mysterious Vivo phone with “Waterdrop” leaked on Web

Mysterious Vivo phone with Waterdrop

The year 2018 had been a remarkable year for Vivo as the year brings with it two great smartphones for users and more glory to Vivo. Vivo launched X20 Plus UD and the Vivo NEX while Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone was launched in January 2018, the other one was launched in June 2018.

X20 Plus UD as the world’s first smartphone with in-display fingerprint scanner. When vivo launched its Vivo Nex, it has amazed everyone by its innovative features like notch-less display and amazing selfie camera. The new spotted Vivo smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC which is coupled with 8 GB RAM and has a triple camera setup.

And when the year 2018 rolled Vivo has unveiled Vivo NEX Dual Display which comes with front and rear facing screens. The strategy of the Chinese manufacturing company for 2018 is killer.

As the year 2019 is gearing up, vivo is all set to amaze us yet again with a remarkable smartphone. Popular tipster Ice Universe has claimed that Vivo is working a smartphone that is codenamed as “The Waterdrop”. According to a series of new rumors out of China, “The Waterdrop” which will have a unique design. The tipster sharing the info says it’s guaranteed that you “have never seen a similar phone design”, noting that it’s the first time in history when a manufacturer tries something like this. What “this” is, that’s another question.

There is also a leaked image shown by him which shows the intrigue corner of the phone. The design is said to be inspired by the cosmic detector in the novel Three Body. At the beginning of 2018, vivo had teased the Vivo APEX concept phone with an unexpected design. The smartphone was later made available in the market as Vivo NEX. It seems that the company is going to apply the same strategy by teasing a new smartphone with remarkable design.

The leaked image show that there might be one continuous piece of glass that wraps around the edges completely. There are no seams and no holes. Neither of the two posts he made on Twitter really show us the full picture, literally. Is it going to be a 100% all-glass phone with no buttons or even ports? How about front-facing cameras and sensors? These are more question than answers right now obliviously, but with the official launch, there will be more light on it, Hopefully!

As per the details we have for now, there is a doubt on integrity and durability of the phone, but we are also looking at the incomplete picture of the phone. Surely, Vivo is pushing the boundaries of smartphone design and making profits from them as well as providing user a great variety of smartphones available in the market. The Vivo NEX S was an interesting oddity at best and while the NEX Dual Display Edition is arguably more practical, it is also more expensive.

Imagining a smartphone with no lines and crease, just like a waterdrop is more exciting and probably worth the wait. This is a step further than Samsung’s Edge Display, which gives a notion of the display fusing to the sides. There is no official date for its launch as of now. Vivo could take the center stage at the MWC 2019 to unveil the Waterdrop and provide stiff competition to Samsung’s foldable Galaxy Fold smartphone.
