HTC Desire U budget smartphone launched in India at Rs. 13,499

HTC Desire U was launched in Taiwan couple of months ago in January and now HTC has launched the device officially in India. It is a budget Android smartphone available at the price of Rs. 13,499. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system the device features 4.0-inch capacitive touch screen display offering 800 x 480 pixels. It is a DUAL SIM smartphone with HTC Sense UI. Being a budget device it is powered with 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM but offers smooth performance and better multitasking. The device is comes in two colors, Polar White and Stealth Black.

The new Desire U offers 4GB built-in storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card. It also offers a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED Flash capable to capture better quality images. Unfortunately there is no front facing camera hence we cannot video calls from this device. In terms of connectivity the device comes with 3G, WiFi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with GPS.
