Last week Micromax sent a launch Invitation teasing about some Windows powered new Canvas devices. As schedule the brand has finally launched the two new Canvas smartphones powered with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. These are budget Windows phone devices named as “Canvas Win W092” which is priced at Rs. 6,500/- and “Canvas Win W121” priced for Rs. 9,500/-. Both of these devices will start shipping probably from the first week of July 2014. Let’s have a close look at both these devices individually.
Micromax Canvas Win W092:
Canvas Win W092 is an affordable Windows Mobile featuring a 4 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display offering 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It is powered with 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM making the phone quite better for smoother performance. It is a Dual SIM phone with Windows Phone 8.1 OS. Furthermore, it offers 5 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 Megapixel front facing camera for video calling. As per storage Canvas Win W092 comes with 8GB internal storage memory which can be further expanded using microSD card. Being affordable device it supports basic connectivity options such as 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone is running on 1500 mAh battery.

Canvas Win W121 is the second Micromax’s Windows phone priced at Rs. 9,500/- This is bit better in specifications compared to Win W092 featuring a 5 inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is also a Dual SIM device running on Windows Phone 8.1. This is also powered with 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1Gb of RAM and also has the same amount of internal storage like W092, i.e. 8GB built-in memory with expandable memory. In connectivity also it is same to its younger brother, supporting 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. battery is bit enhanced and Win W121 is running on 2000 mAh battery.
