Windows 10 Android Mirroring

We all knew that Microsoft stopped making Windows Phone long ago. Since they gave up on their own phones, they opened a window for Android devices. The company is working round on clock to make their PC OS work better with Android phones since it is the one covering larger part of the world.

As we all know Microsoft introduced a new App in their Windows 10 PCs called ‘Your Phone’ which has an ability to beam text and photos to your PC and laptop. It has been rumored that the company is working hard for the advancement of this application feature. They are doing research and test to create a clone version of your phone on your system.

Basically, a mirror image of your Android phone so you can access all your important stuff directly on your PC. In that case, your system should have full access to your cell phones or in other words, you can operate your device through your laptop and PC.

Currently, Microsoft is working on this all-new feature. It has been heard that this feature will be available in upcoming Windows 10 updates. The application is yet not ready so it will take quite a time before hitting the floor. Your phone application is not compatible with every other Android device. Microsoft releases an official statement that the application will work on selected Android devices which are running on Android 7.0 or higher. Currently, the phones which are eligible for this are Samsung’s S8, S8+, S9, and S9+.

It is mandatory for your test PC to support Bluetooth Radio for low energy peripheral roles. Right now the only one of Microsoft’s PC which supports this feature is Surface Go. To make sure about your PC, you have to check the system’s hardware. Here are some requirements to make this feature work:

  • Select Android phones* running Android 7.0 or greater (*Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+/S9/S9+).
  • Windows 10 PC with a Bluetooth radio that supports low energy peripheral role.
  • Latest 19H1 preview build (18335+ recommended).
  • Android phone must be on, within Bluetooth range of the PC, and connected to the same network as the PC.

If you are wondering Microsoft is the first company to launch a mirror technique in a market so you must be wrong. Before Microsoft dell already provided its users a Dell connect, which work almost similar to this. There are applications flooded with almost the same feature in the Play Store.

The thing which makes Microsoft’s Your Phone to different from already existing application is they are trying to implement directly in your Windows 10. By doing this they are sure they will grab million of users into it, as it will be easier and compatible for all. This is the technology which can beat Apple’s super integration Mac book. Screen mirroring definitely going to be a feature of one kind which can make life simply better and easy. However, there is no particular date when it will hit the market. Waiting is going to be quite tough but as said Good thing come to those who keep patience.
