Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Troubleshooting Guide: Fix Lagging, Low FPS, Game Crashes, CTD, Black Screen, FOV, Sound and Errors

Set in the 16th century, Sekiro: Shadow die twice is the game which is an action adventure game. The game is developed by From Software and is available to everyone now. Although the game is available in the market recently still, I have managed to playthe game few times.

This is what I need to tell you about the issues that I have faced during my gaming session. I thought of compiling a guide stating the bugs which I have encountered during my gaming sessions. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – Unable to Install:

This is the first error that occur while playing the game. The game is not able to install due to some reason which hinder the game play. Not only Shadow Die Twice, in fact this is common error occur during the installation of many PC games. Below steps can help you in fixing the issue.

  • It is possible that the antivirus software installed in your computer is hampering the game from installation. It is the features of these software which prevent the installation from unwanted sources. Due of trust issues, sometimes the anti-virus software blocks the game.

You can do that be performing the steps below-

  • Go to start and then search UAC.
  • Switch off the UAC and restart your PC.

Disabling the UAC will surely help, and you will be able to install your game.

Shadow Die Twice Lagging, Freezing and Low FPS Problems:

This is the problem where the speed of the game reduces in terms of quality and which result in lagging in the game. Lagging is very often and quite frequent. You can even install Razor game booster which will increase the gaming experience and result in no lagging.

If you have nvidia Graphic Card installed in your PC, then you can perform the steps below-

  • Go to Nvidia Control Panel and then to “3D manages settings”
  • Click on program setting and further search for power management.
  • Choose maximum performance which will reduce lagging.

If you are facing the resolution issue and cannot play the game. Then you should try updating your video drivers. You can update the drivers which will includes both motherboard and video drivers.

  • Set the Nvidia Control Panel and adjust the desktop
  • Set aspect ratio and also scale by GPU.
  • Try to free your resources which are unwanted. Kill the process which are not used. Free as much resources as possible. You can do that by killing all the process of the apps running in background. In the task manager, go to processes and from there you have to simply kill process which is eating up maximum CPU and RAM.
  • Turing of Vsync and Antialiasing will also help.

Shadow Die Twice Black Screen Problem: 

This issue occurs when you are not able to see the screen of the game and all the pixel turn to be black. You can fix this issue by updating the video drivers. These issues occur mainly due to the old version of drivers which doesn’t support the graphic of the game and surely you will fix them by updating or getting new drivers.

Try the steps given below to fix the black screen problem-

  1. Update the video and motherboard drivers by downloading them from the official site.
  2. Secondly, you can fix it by turning three things off –
    1. Vsync
    2. Anti-aliasing
    3. Filtering

Sometimes everything works fine except the audio, there is no audio from the game. This problem is related to DXDiag.

  • Search for DXDiag in the start menu and open it.
  • Increase the sound and there you are coming out of this situation.
  • Updating the audio drivers might also help in fixing the problem.

Streaming issues are issues which occur when you are not able to run the game smoothly. One of the very basic reason is slow internet. Bad internet connectivity leads to this issue.

  • You can try the steps below to fix the problem of streaming-
  • Exit the game and restart your PC.
  • Check the game file and validate their location. Make sure that they are not corrupted.
  • Login to the account and then go to library section. Choose the game folder and then go to local file tab.
  • Check the cache of the file of the game.

In this error you are not able to see the characters on the screen. Fix the issue by setting the video control panel. You can set the max frame value as two as can fix the mouse lagging.
