Though there is yet no sign from the manufacturer, the next member of Lava’s Iris series showed up online for pre-order. It is Lava Iris 401e already listed up on Flipkart from pre-order. This is the most budget smartphone so far in Iris series at the price of just Rs. 4,249/-. The device is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with 4-inch capacitive touch screen display offering 480 x 800 pixels resolutions. As far as configuration is concerned it is powered with 1 GHz processor and 256MB of RAM. Well it clearly appears to be the basic phone but what else can we expect at the said price.
Furthermore Iris 401e comes with 3 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. There is no front facing camera provided for making video calls. As per storage the device offers just 200MB internal storage that can be expanded upto 32GB using microSD card. In terms of connectivity the dual sim phone supports 2G EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
