Samsung is now rolling out with its latest technology in smartphone accessories. The company has announced its new gadget Gear VR today at IFA 2014 event in Berlin, Germany and the gadget is a collaboration of Samsung and Oculus VR. Oculus VR is an American virtual reality technology company which made their debut in March 2014 by launching its first product Oculus VR. The company is rumored that it has been acquire by Facebook for US$ 2 billion in cash as agreed by Facebook.
By announcing Gear VR at IFA, Samsung has stepped in a virtual reality action. Samsung Gear VR is a virtual reality headset which comes with removable front cover. Along with this Samsung has launched the most waited smartphone by the company Galaxy Note 4 which would be working with Gear VR. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is powered with 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB RAM, it has a 5.7-inch QHD Super Amoled display and a 16MP OIS rear camera. The specification for this device is highly impressive along with additional features for using its S-Pen.
The Samsung Gear VR kit really gives you a chance to use your smartphone with a new way, and for now the Gear VR is only supporting Galaxy Note 4 and may be it will be compatible with other Galaxy series in future as expected. When it comes to use Gear VR, you just need to slide your Note 4 into the front of this device where the micro USB plug recognizes the device and automatically turns into virtual mode. The device offers you to watch Videos and Pictures in never before experience. It offers you 360 degree viewing angle and feels like watching video on a 172 inch Mega screen from just 2 meters distance. It comes with free 100,000 HD music videos streaming and live concert events offered by Vevo.
The Gear VR would be similar in use as compare to Google’s Cardboard VR concept. Built with light weight materials and flexible cushioning makes the device much comfortable for use. The pricing for Gear VR is not yet announced officially announced by Samsung but we will update the same here very soon. The wearable will come in Frost white colour option. It would be soon available on Samsung’s official website with selected carriers this year.
