8 RPG Games Great to Play During Quarantine

In the world of video games, there are video games of completely different genres. We have action, adventure, platforms, shooters, strategy, musicals, driving, simulators, etc. Despite everything, personally, for the games I prefer more than any other, are RPGs.

Whether it’s the world they take me in to, the story they tell me, their characters that I empathize with, their mechanics or other factors, they get me hooked during a long period of time. Of course, not all RPGs succeed and stand out above the rest of the titles that exist.

For all this, we wanted to create the following list, which we consider to be the best RPGs that exist for PCs and should not be missing from anyone’s PC.

As these are the most complex video games and you need over 100 hours of playing to complete it, now is the perfect time to do so. During quarantine, you have a lot more time than usual and it’s a good time to explore that world. We will present to you the best RPGs and MMORPGs for your PC.

Heroes of Might and Magic Online

Ubisoft deconstructs the legendary RPG saga to transform it into an MMO in which epicity, fantastic creatures and magic take control of the renewed turn-based combat system created for the occasion, with an extra incentive: cooperative games.

The game has a main 2D map that you move around like the other titles in the saga, except that you can also meet other players on it. You’ll also have classic turn-based combat with the grid map. You can play by yourself, but there will be challenges for which the cooperation of other players suits you, and as always in online games, you will also have PvP to face others in singular combat.

WoW

World of Warcraft, or better known as WoW, is an MMORPG, perhaps the most famous in the history of video games, developed by the Blizzard Entertainment company, responsible for other highly successful sagas such as StarCraft, Diablo and Overwatch.

The action of WoW takes place in the same universe of Warcraft, the video game saga that first saw the light of day in 1994 with the title of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and that was completed with two other titles that closed a trilogy where the story and gameplay evolved significantly.

The entire plot, from both the first three games and WoW, takes place in the world of Azeroth, four years after the events that take place at the end of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The player had the possibility to choose from an extensive catalog of breeds where their appearance and gender could be customized. Throughout the years to come WoW received countless patches and various expansions that updated the experience that is now coming to the big screen through the movie Warcraft: The Origin.

You can constantly improve in various ways. For example, you can buy WoW BfA boost, and there are specialized sites for this, which often have discounts, such as LFCarry.

The plots of Warcraft, Wow and the Universal Pictures film take place in Azeroth, the planet where elves, dwarves, taurens, trolls, orcs, gnomes, goblins and dragons live together, the latter were designated as the guardians of order under the name of The Great Aspects. The Titans were the shapers of this world and left the legacy of magic on Azeroth.

Ancient history centers on the conflict that existed between the primitive races, for the unconscious use of magic, and the first war that there was between creation and demons. The racial origins as we know them today took place after those events, and The Age of Chaos is the current era, where the last wars have caused an evident tension between the races that coexist in Azeroth.

Divinity: Original Sin II

Divinity: Original Sin II is the sequel to the hit classic RPG and aerial view that Larian Studios released in 2014. Like its first part, this new game has been funded through crowdfunding in a successful Kickstarter campaign that reached all its extra financing targets after exceeding two million dollars.

This new adventure will be much larger and more ambitious than its first part, although the playable bases will remain intact, allowing us to wage complex strategic turn-based combat in which we can interact with the environment in many different ways. This time it will offer multiplayer, both cooperative and competitive, for up to four players.

Dark Souls III

Dark Souls III is the third and final part of the award-winning From Software saga. Regardless of how challenging it may be, even sometimes being only suitable for the most skilled, it does not mean that it is a fantastic action RPG with an exceptional setting and combat that have made it a must for lovers of the genre.

Dragon Quest XI

An authentic JRPG of one of the most recognized sagas that exist and that in turn performs the function of tribute for its 30th anniversary, with a fascinating history, a world that we will not tire of exploring and some mechanics in the fights that will appeal to the more newbies as veterans alike.

An excellent RPG set in the 17th century that takes us to an island of fantasy, with supernatural beings, and in which the plot and events will vary depending on the wide variety of decisions we make on the go, as well as the multiple forms that there will be to resolve situations depending on our abilities.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Another of the most awarded games on the list is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The third and last installment of the saga starring Geralt de Rivia has it all, an exciting plot, a wonderful open world, an impressive graphic quality and a gameplay that has made it probably one of the best RPGs ever developed.

Conclusion:

The choices are endless, so it was impossible to mention all the top RPGs and MMORPGs. But these are the titles you start from, and if you like it, you will surely find many amazing ones.
