Desperate times call for desperate measures. During quarantine time amid the Coronavirus pandemic, celebrities are not just donating or helping to raise money to help others, they also want to do it in a new and unique way.
A 24-year-old American actor, Ansel Elgort, came up with the idea that many will fall for. He believes, as he wrote in one of his Instagram posts, that nudity sells better than anything else, so he tried his theory out.
He urged his fans to click on a link in his bio on Instagram, and donate money for COVID-19 relief in order to see him posing naked in the shower. A link leads to a GoFundMe page that pays for meals to feed frontline Coronavirus fighters. The food comes from restaurants, and all this is on the territory of Brooklyn, and they are already providing 2,500 meals a day.
Unfortunately, he deleted the photo afterward, but that didn’t stop his fans from being humane and donating money anyway. He later shared on his Instagram Story a video of him saying:
“I don’t know how much of this is from the post, but it seems a lot of people have been giving in the last few hours. Thanks a lot, looks like it was worth it.”
“Unfortunately, Instagram told me I gotta take my post down because it’s nudity, so I’m going to take it down, or maybe I’ll repost the version that cuts a little higher, how about that?” he explained.
