Apple has announced the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 with Retina Display and both the devices are the next generation tablet from the company. Taking an overview at the specifications of the Apple iPad Air 2, it has a 9.7 inch display with the resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and there is an anti-reflective coating as well on the top of the glass. It is powered with an Apple A8X processor with additional M8 co-processors. The home button also has Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the iPad Air 2 is the world’s slimmest tablet at 6.1mm thickness. The camera on the back of the iPad Air 2 is an 8.0MP iSight camera and on the front there is a Facetime HD camera.
The iPad Mini 3 with Retina Display also has the same specs except the screen size which is the 7.9inch with the resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and there is again antireflective coating on top of the glass. The iPad Mini 3 with retina Display has an Apple A7 chip with the M7 co-processor. There is a 5.0MP iSight camera on the back which can record 1080p videos and there is also a HD Facetime camera on the front. Both the iPad’s come with similar color options viz Gold, Silver and Silver Gray. The new iPad’s will soon be available in 29 countries and territories and just in some months, the new iPad’s will be available for all the countries including India too.
The prices for Apple iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini have been changed as it is a policy of Apple, that whenever they launch the newer products they will change the prices for the older gen devices. Now the price will be starting from Rs. 17,900 for the Apple iPad Mini. The starting price for Apple iPad mini 2 will be Rs. 21,000 and lastly the starting price for the Apple iPad Air is Rs. 28,900 and these prices are inclusive of all taxes and these prices are for WiFi model with 16GB memory.
