What’s New in Android 5.0 Lollipop

Better Notifications:

Android L Notifications

Google has improved the notifications on the latest update and now users don’t have to leave their app to check what’s come up instead they can continue their activity and also can take a view or dismiss their notifications. The Android 5.0 Lollipop gives you better notifications by offering you floating notifications which will pop up on your activity screen.

The Lockscreen on the new Lollipop update shows you the notifications without unlocking the device and also you can directly read and revert back to your messages without opening up the app. There is better control over our notifications which are activated by the apps we use. Now without turning off our notifications, you can hide the content which is sensitive. There is a new ‘Priority Mode’ on the operating system that allows users to use the volume buttons to trigger the Priority mode on so that only certain apps and peoples notifications will be shown to you.

This feature is also called as Do Not Disturb, it is the one feature that we have on iOS devices. This feature can also be activated or scheduled as per the user preference like on what time does the user wants his calls to be silenced. The priority of the phone calls are now downgraded on this update which means, the user is now open to choose whether they want to cancel or answer the phone or even if they want to just continue back to what they were doing and they don’t just have to wait for ending the call.
