Nokia launches N1 tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop, 7.9 inch display and 64-bit Intel Z3580 processor at $249

Nokia launches its first tablet Nokia N1 which is powered by Android Lollipop 5.0, but it’s headed with its own UI ‘Nokia Z launcher’. This is really a surprising launch by Nokia after getting dissolved to Microsoft. Nokia N1 tablet was announced at Slush technology conference in Helsinki, Sebastian Nyström, Head of Products at Nokia Technologies said “The N1 has a delightfully intuitive interface and an industrial design to match it.

This is a great product for Nokia fans and everyone who has not found the right Android tablet yet.” Nokia z launcher has the unique UI with scribble function from which you can scribble any letter on the screen and retrieve all stuffs related to that alphabet, it also predicts what you are searching for and more activity exists under the hood, and if you want to try the launcher you can get it on Google Play Store for Android Smartphone.

Nokia N1 sports a beautiful 7.9-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536p and 326ppi pixel density for better quality of display with side viewing support, 4:3 screen aspect ratio. It is powered by Intel Atom Z3580 CPU which is clocked at 2.3GHz with 64-bit architecture. For Gaming and Video playback it comes with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2GB RAM for multi-tasking on the N1 tablet. Nokia N1 tablet has 8-MP rear-facing camera and 5-MP front-facing camera for video conference and more. Nokia N1 is a slim tablet with 6.9mm thickness and aluminum frame that contain either dark grey or silver. Nokia N1 includes stereo speakers for better audio output.

The internal storage capacity is limited to 32GB and it can be expanded via MicroSD slot, although it’s quite common for most of the tablets with limits for storage but Nokia provides 32GB for storing applications, games and movies so it’s a good deal from the market view. Nokia sold its phone-making division to Microsoft and now it’s hoping to make a good deal by presenting its new Android customized tablet.

Nokia N1 brings in a new-type of USB socket ‘Type-C socket’ for its tablet which is actually a reversible USB port, that’s known to be replacing all type of USB connections in coming future. It may involve some more features that yet need to be evolved, we may expect features like turbo-charging, speed file transfer etc. The tablet price is set at $250 and will go on sale in china before Chinese New year i.e. on February 19, 2015.
