Airtel today started its 1800MHz 4G trail in Chennai. They are offering this service to some bloggers for testing in the city. Airtel has already provided their 4G LTE in 20 cities around the country that includes Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Nagpur, Pune, Jalandhar, Amritsar, etc. While Mumbai and Hyderabad are the next in the limeup to be offered. In fact, Mumbai will be receiving Airtel 4G this month itself.
The PTI report says, “The company’s network to launch FDD LTE (4G) in Hyderabad is also ready. The trial for the same is expected to start this month. In Mumbai, the company will provide TDD LTE (4G) in 2300MHz band. The trial for Mumbai 4G services is also planned for this month.”
Airtel has now officially launched 4G FDD-LTE band 3 services in Chennai. They are also offering 4G as complimentary to their customers at the same price of 3G.
