iBall today launched a new Windows 8.1 running tablet PC named iBall Slide i701. It is said to be the cheapest Windows tablet so far priced t just Rs. 4,999/-. The tablet carries a price tag of Rs 4,999. A Windows tablet at such budget friendly price has been possible only because last year Microsoft announced licensing free Windows 8.1 for tablets or devices having less than 8 inch display.
IBall slide i701 comes with a 7-inch IPS display offering 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is powered with 1.33 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor (Turbo Boost up to 1.83GHz) accompanied by 1GB of RAM. It has 16GB built-in storage memory that is expandable with microSD card up to 32 GB. The tablet also features a 2 Megapixel rear camera with flash and a VGA camera at front facing. Currently IBall slide i701 runs on windows 8.1 operating system and will be freely updated to Windows 10 when the OS is launched.
