Release Date:

Samsung launches Galaxy note series typically during IFA, which takes place in Berlin at the beginning of September. Though there are no official words from Samsung, and there was a rumor saying Galaxy Note 5 may launch in June but we can still believe that Samsung will launch the Note 5 at its usual pattern, i.e. at IFA in September.

Display / Screen:

Galaxy Note 5 display has been the key focus of many rumors from a long time. As Note 4 took full HD display, it is said that Samsung will jump to 4k display with Note 5. According to some reports, it is said to be featuring a huge 5.9 inch 4k display with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution. Samsung has confirmed it is looking to bring the first 4k phone to market in 2015.

Design / Design:

Samsung has ditched its leather design of previous Galaxy Note with 2015 model opting instead for an aluminum and glass design (metal) which was implemented first in Galaxy S6.

Camera:

There are many different rumors regarding Galaxy Note 5’s camera. One of them say Note 5 will feature a 21 Megapixel camera while some claims that it will come up with 18 Megapixel camera. As far as secondary camera is concerned, Note 5 is said to be featuring 5 or 6 Megapixel shooter optimized for Selfies.

RAM / Processor / Memory:

Since Galaxy Note 4 was launched with 32 GB internal storage, Note 5 should be higher than that, like Samsung Galaxy S6 that came with 32GB, 64GB and 128 GB storage version. So this is likely to assume there won’t be support for microSD  slot (not confirmed though).

Coming to other aspects, Galaxy Note 5 should come up with latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop powered with G gigs of RAM along with Snapdragon Qualcomm 82X+ processor with 3.2 GHz / Samsung Exynos 7X (10nm) 8-core with max 3GHz processor. It may also include USB Type-C port and a Fingerprint scanner.

Pricing:

AS both the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 4 cost £599 including VAT when they were launched, we can say that Galaxy Note 5 will cost between £550 and £599 including VAT. Check complete list of rumored specifications of Galaxy Note 5 here.
