Xiaomi Redmi 2 which is in the market from past few months gets a strong competitor, YU Yuphoria, which is a new version of YU series of Micromax. Micromax recently released the latest version of its YU series smartphones in an event in New Delhi. YU Yuphoriais a powerful phone with a low price. Here we show you what are the differences between YU Yuphoria and Xiaomi Redmi 2 based on specifications.

Operating System:

Xiaomi Redmi 2 was launched in January, it was launched with Android 4.4 kitkat which was that latest version of Android at that time. YU Yuphoria follows it predecessor YU Yuphoria and comes out with Cyanogen OS 12. Cyanogen OS is very powerful operating system which has great features, for instance you can easily change themes which changes almost everything in your phone and also it is highly customizable.

Display and Packaging:

Xiaomi Redmi 2 has 4.7inch screen with resolution of 720×1280 pixels and Gorilla Glass 2. On the other hand YU Yuphoria features screen size of 5.0inch which is larger than Redmi 2 but provides the same resolution of 720×1280 pixels YU Yuphoria has Gorilla Glass 3, which provides better protection. Talking about packing and design of YU Yuphoria has an impressive design as it has employed metallic frame, this metallic frame is curved and gives good grip.

Processing Power:

Both YU Yuphoria and Redmi 2 have Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz Quad-core processor. Both have GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) of Adreno 306. Yuphoria is powered by 2GB of RAM, whereas Redmi 2 is powered by 1GB RAM. We can say that processing speed of Yuphoria is fast and it is more responsive .

Memory:

YU YUPHORIA has internal storage of 16GB which is double of 8GB provided by Redmi 2. Both YU Yuphoria and Redmi 2 has expandable storage and both supports microSD upto 32 GB. So both of these smartphones have fairly large storage memory. As mentioned before Yuphoria has 2GB RAM, while Redmi 2 has 1GB of RAM.

Camera:

Xiaomi Redmi 2 comes with rear camera of 8MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels, autofocus and LED flash and Secondary camera of 2MP, 720p. Yuphoria has rear camera of 8MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels, autofocus, and LED flash and Front camera of 5MP.

Battery:

YU Yuphoria runs on Li-Ion 2230 mAh battery which is slightly higher than Xiaomi Redmi 2’s Li-Po 2200mAh battery.
