Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is having a 10.1inch HD display on the front. 10.1inch display makes it a huge model. But you don’t have to worry about the durability. All Xperia Series by Sony is dust and waterproof. The same is applicable to Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet also. The device is IP68 certified model. It offers you a dust and water proof design. The power button in placed on the left with volume keys. It has a USB port on the right side. In accessories you can buy Bluetooth keyboard separately that can be used via USB. Slots are placed well on the sides with common connectivity options. The device is simply an upgraded version of Sony Xperia Z2, lot more light and slimmer. The tablet has a sturdy design but it is also great in terms of looks. With a keyboard you can use it like a netbook.

Slimmer body is one of the most major features of this tablet. It is very sleek and looks like a costly product. You can hook this on a keyboard dock and then you can use it like a net book. Compared to earlier tablet version this one is lot lighter. Using this tablet is very comfortable. The touch screen is big enough to read, watch movies and play games. The tablet comes in two colors which is black and white. Compare to black, the white one looks lot more impressive model. Due to IP68 certification you have to worry less about using it roughly. It can simply handle scratch and water. This is one of the biggest plus point of this model.

Display:

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has as 10.1inch display. This display is a IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that offer you 16M colors support on the same. The screen is covered with scratch-resistant glass. And this is a vibrant Triluminos display powered by Sony’s own   X-Reality Engine. The screen offers an amazing resolution of 2,560 x 1,600. Screen output is simply stunning. You can play games, you can watch videos and checkout all the images on it.

There is no issue with it at all. The overall screen quality is somehow very impressive. The touch quality is also fine here. Due to a durable design, you can play with this tablet without worrying about damaging it. The screen compare to its older model is lot brighter. Even if you are getting the tablet to your kids to play the scratch resistant glass coating on the top will prevent scratches on it. Durable body design is one of the important aspect of the tablet and it is also an essential part.

Hardware and Performance:

Performance wise Sony Xperia Z4 is not a bad model. It has a decent hardware that can let you use different apps and play various games also. The tablet is powered by Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset. This offers the tablet a dual quad core processor for a lot more amazing output. Here in this tablet you get Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 two CPU to handle various app performance. With the for graphics the tablet also has a Adreno 430 and 3 GB RAM.

The tablet has as 32GB internal storage and around 12GB Micro SD support. Due to Snapdragon 810 CPU support you can simply run a variety of apps and games on the same. Due to this high end hardware the tablet works really well and is also good for gaming.

Camera:

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet does not offer much in the camera part. The tablet has a dual camera support. A 8.1MP is on the backside and a 5.1MP camera is on the front side. I thought similar to the Xperia Z series Smartphone the device will also have a 20.7MP camera that would help to take more clear and decent pictures.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Camera

I found the 8.1MP camera pretty low here. The back camera has a 3264 x 2448 pixel support with autofocus. You can also record a HD video up to 1080p@30fps. The front camera of this tablet is around 5.1 MP that is quiet similar to other Xperia Smartphone models. This front facing camera is good enough for taking selfies.

Battery Life:

Sony Xperia Z4 runs on a 6000 mAH battery. This is a huge battery but with that the tablet is also having a 10.1 HD screen that too much power. I think the tablet is having a major issue with the battery. Even after a full charge you cannot expect a battery output of constant 6hours. You have to simply use the Stamina mode to reduce battery power usage. I found the display usage is lot more than compare to other stuff. If you are planning to travel with the tab, then having a power bank with you is recommended. The battery drains up easily while taking pictures. It is one of the biggest down point of this model. And if you keep the SIM active then the battery also drains fast.

Conclusion:

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is a good tablet. It becomes costly due to a bit low end features. Like the camera that is limited to 8MP only and a fast battery drain due to big screen size. The tablet works best for long time when you are on a wifi network. But when you use the SIM for surfing purpose then the battery will drain really fast. Design point of view the tablet is still great and with keyboard dock it is just like a pc.

The cost of the tablet lies between Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000 but can be a bit higher when the tablet gets launch in India. I hope that in coming time when Sony releases a new version of Xperia, they must work on the battery part.
