And Samsung Galaxy J5   is having a 5.5inch screen size. Both the device has common design elements and comes in three colors. White, Black and Gold. The phone is bit thick and follow the Galaxy design. It is not very in unique. At the front lies the HD screen with regular touch based keys at the bottom among which is the home key of Samsung Galaxy series. At the top side lies a 5MP camera with sensors.  The power key is on the right and volume is on the left side.

Samsung Galaxy J5 Review

The device looks nice but most of the body consists of plastic elements. It does not look durable to me. A 13MP camera with led flash is on the backside. The back cover is removable and the battery also. Sim and Memory card slots are at the back. The device looks decent and it looks like a budget phone. Samsung has not done much on the design part. They had kept the phone look low compare to other Galaxy series. We had seen a lot of mid range phone that holds up some unique design that really matters from a consumer point of view. The phone has a Micro USB port and Audio jack at the bottom.

Overall Samsung Galaxy J5 & Samsung Galaxy J7 gives choices to user to go for a big size or a small size device. Samsung phone are great when it comes to performance but have a big issue with the battery. That does matters.

Display:

Samsung Galaxy J5 has a 5.0 inch TFT capacitive touch screen. The max resolution you get on this is 1280×720 @ 294ppi. Compare to that Samsung Galaxy J5 , is bigger. It has a 5.5inch TFTcapacitive touch screen.  With exactly same resolution. Both the devices are having updated Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The device has custom Samsung UI that is TouchWiz. The phone performs really well and has no issue with the output. It is easy to use and operate. The touch quality is quiet amazing here. You can manage various things on the same. When it comes to touch quality then Samsung is best. But with that if they can add more durability on the same then it would be more value for money product. Somehow the phone is nice for those who want a budget solution of a Phablet.

Camera:

Samsung Galaxy J5 & Samsung Galaxy J7  is having the same camera features. It is a selfie phone. At the front size you get a 5MP camera with LED flash. And at the backside there is an 8M camera again with a led flash. The led flash is introduced on both the sides so that you can take more clear pictures and share with your friend. The back camera offers you a 1080p video resolution @ 30fps. The front camera is also great for video calling.  13MP camera is not bad in picture quality. Samsung devices have an amazing autofocus that let you to take clear and impressive pictures. With third party camera apps you can get more features.

Performance:

Samsung Galaxy J5 & Samsung Galaxy J7   is bit different in hardware so the performance also varies. Samsung Galaxy J5  runs on Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset where it is powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Cortex A53 CPU and 1.5GB RAM. It has an Adreno 306 GPU also.

Compared to this model Samsung Galaxy J7  which is a higher one has as Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset .Where it get octa core processor. It has two Quad Core Cortex A53 CPU with 1.4 GHz and 1 GHz clock rate. And with that Aderno 406GPU. The ram is same 1.5GB. So here J7 has more power due to it bigger screen size. Also both the device has same 16GB storage and you can add a micro SD card up to 129GB.

Battery Life:

Samsung Galaxy J5 & Samsung Galaxy J7   also has different battery size. That is quiet obvious as there is a difference in screen size. The bigger one will need a more power. Samsung Galaxy J5 runs on a 2600mAH battery while Samsung Galaxy J7  runs on 3000 mAH battery. Battery performance is decent. With a full charge you can use it up to 7hours plus. I had seen drastic battery drain when 3GB is on dual sim. Also if you are playing games and watching too many videos then carrying a power bank is necessary.

Conclusion:

Samsung Galaxy J5 & Samsung Galaxy J7  will be only sold on Flipkart. They are this online exclusive model.  The cost of Samsung Galaxy J5 is Rs.12000 and the cost of another model Samsung Galaxy J7  is around Rs.15000. With a minor difference if you want you can go with the phablet. Overall I found Samsung Galaxy J7  a bit better due to higher hardware config. While other all things are same. This phone would perform well according to me as it is top line right now in the budget line.
