As scheduled, Xiaomi has today officially launched the Mi Band 1S band. It is the successor of last year’s Xiaomi Mi Band that had Sleep and Fitness tracker. Being the successor, the new Mi Band 1S comes with Heart Rate Sensor along with Fitness and Sleep tracker. It will go on sale in China starting November 11th at the price of 99 Yuan, i.e. approximately Rs. 1,030 or $15.50 USD.
Very similar to the first Mi Band, the new Mi Band 1S is packed in a same sized aluminum body and comes with colorful bands. It is water resistance device with IP67 ratings and lets you monitor your heart beats more comfortably, unlike wearing any more heavy and dull looking accessories. To measure the detailed heart rate, it has photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor. Apart from this, it also tracks your sleep and fitness.
Mi Band 1S is powered up with 45mAh Li-po battery that can offer up to 20 days standby time. It is less than the earlier one where we use to get over a month standby. This could be obviously because of the Heart Rate sensor addition because it takes more power.
