Facebook’s Live Video Broadcasting Rolling out to Compete Periscope

Facebook is one of the biggest Social Media today because of its new features that keeps the users busy. Today they have started rolling out yet another feature, Live Video Broadcasting. Which obviously means we can now Broadcast Live videos with out families and friends using Facebook. Very similar to the one we were using until now, Periscope.

As of now, Facebook’s Live Video Broadcasting is available for limited users in US and that too only on iPhone App. If you got this feature, simply tap the Live Video icon in the update status input field. This will soon be available globally for all platforms. Let’s take a look at this Video released by Facebook:

 

Just like Periscope you can choose audience to whom you want to show the Live video as well as put the video description before making it live. Along with this, there are many more new features added to iPhone Facebook App such as Collage feature, new Sharing Feature as well as new Design.

During your broadcast, you’ll see the number of live viewers, the names of friends who are tuning in, and a real-time stream of comments. When you end your broadcast, it will be saved on your Timeline like any other video, which you can then delete or keep for your friends to watch later. You can discover live videos from your friends and public figures you follow right in News Feed. While watching a live video, you can tap the Subscribe button to get notified the next time the broadcaster goes live.
