After announcing the new Flagships last month at MWC 2016, Samsung today Officially launched Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in India today as scheduled. Both the phones are up for Pre-order right away on Samsung’s official website as well as on Flipkart till 17th March, while the shipping will start from 18th March.The company is also offering a free Gear VR headset for on every pre-orders.
Samsung Galaxy S7 is priced at Rs. 48,900, while the Edge variant will be available for Rs. 56,900. Both the phones will come in three different color choices including Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium. Furthermore, Vodafone offers Double voice and Data offer for 6 months absolutely free for its Vodafone Red customers.
Talking about the phones, they are really a powerhouse when it comes to performance and multitasking. However, as always, Indian variants of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge come with Exynos 8 processors while the one we saw at MWC where powered with Snapdragon. Both the phones come with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and are running on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. They comes with 12 Megapixel shooter at rear and a 5 Megapixel front facing shooter for Selfie fans. There are a lot of interesting camera features you gonna get with this new Flagships. Apart from that, the phones are Water and Dust resistant and come with bigger batteries compared to last year.
