Cyanogen OS based Lenovo Z1 launching on May 10 in India

Last year Lenovo launched Zuk Z1 smartphone with their own ZUI operating system. Today they announced the launch of Cyanogen OS running Lenovo Z1 which will be launched in India on May 10th, i.e. next Tuesday. Remember, this will be the first ever ‘Crowd sourced launch’ where the Fans will launch the phone.

As of now there’s no details about the phone’s availability or the price, but should be known during the launch time. It will come only in grey color. Let’s take a look at the phone’s specifications. Lenovo Z1 looks very impressive with its 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor coupled up with 3GB LPPDR3 RAM making the phone quite powerful in performance as well as multitasking. There’s also an Adreno 330 GPU and 64GB (eMMC 5.0) internal storage memory.

The phone comes with 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display offering 1920 x 1080 pixels, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 100% NTSC color gamut. There’s also a Fingerprint sensor (FPC 1155) offering extra security to the device and information stored on the same. It comes with 4100mAh built-in battery with fast charging support.
