Adele Tributes The Coolest Motherfcker Amy Winehouse On What Would Have Been Her 33rd BirthdayAdele will never forget the legacy that Amy Winehouse left behind and she won’t let her fans forget, either. During Adele’s Wednesday night concert in Boston, the singer honored the late Amy on what would have been her 33rd birthday. She also penned a short tribute to Amy on Instagram.

“I feel like I owe so much of my career to her,” Adele told the crowd. “I used to think she was the coolest motherfucker. Because of her I write my own songs. If it wasn’t for her, it wouldn’t be happening.” The singer went on to ask for the house lights to come on as she dedicated “Make You Feel My Love” to Amy.

“We love you, we always will,” Adele added.

Little Mix, One Direction, Adele, Ellie Goudling Among Brit Awards Nominees

Brit Awards NomThe Brit Awards nominations were announced. Adele, James Bay and Years & Years lead the pack with four nominations each. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris, is nominated for “Best Male Solo Artist.”

Adele is up against the late Amy Winehouse and Jess Glynn for “Best Female Solo Artist.” One Direction is nominated for “British Group.” Adele’s hit “Hello” will battle Little Mix’s “Black Magic,” Olly Murs and Demi Lovato’s “Up,” Ed Sheeran & Rudimental’s “Bloodstream” and Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” for “British Single.”

In the “British Music Video of The Year” category it’s Little Mix’s “Black Magic” against Adele’s “Hello” and One Direction’s “Drag Me Down.” Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Drake made it into the “International Male Solo Artist” category. Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor slide into the “International Female Solo Artist” group.
