Kesha Sings and Plays Harmonica on ‘The Ellen Show’

Kesha Harmonic EllenKesha performed today on The Ellen Degeneres Show, singing and playing harmonica on her current single “Here Comes the Change.” The single is the main song from the soundtrack to the critically-acclaimed Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic, On the Basis of Sex.

Since the mid-term U.S. elections, progressive candidates and grass-roots political organizations, particularly at rallies relating to gender equality, school violence and gun control, have begun to use the song as a background anthem for their events.

Kesha Premieres Gritty, Haunting Black and White Visuals for “Here Comes the Change”

Kesha Here Comes The Change OfficialKesha released the official music video for “Here Comes the Change,” her single from the soundtrack to the motion picture On the Basis of Sex. In the video, Kesha intermixes portions of a gritty and tormented personal performance of the song shot in black and white with color flash-cuts of scenes from the movie.

On the Basis of Sex is a biographical film that details episodes from the early career of civil rights advocate — and current Supreme Court Justice — Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Check Out the Video for Kesha’s Latest Single “Here Comes the Change”

Kesha Here Comes the ChangeKesha dropped the video yesterday for her most recent single “Here Comes the Change.” A bit of a pop-political anthem, the song is part of the soundtrack for the movie On the Basis of Sex.

According to an essay that Kesha published on the website Refinery29, in writing the song, the pop singer was inspired by the story of Ruth Bader Ginsberg, as well as the notion that “any single person can make lasting change, starting with one small action.”
