Ellie Goulding has offered an unreleased soundtrack to back a new campaign that is raising awareness about domestic abuse. A short film, released in association with Victim Support and the National Centre for Domestic Violence, features a haunting dance routine that portrays the common abuse cycle that over “1.9 million people experience” every year.
Ellie and those involved in the project are urging everyone to #BreakTheRoutine and shed light on the safe, supportive options that are available to help victims get out of harmful situations and find ways to move forward.
“I lent a classical piece I did with Chris Ketley and Joe Kearns for this powerful video directed by Noam Murro raising awareness of Domestic violence,” Ellie writes on Instagram. “Remember is not always the woman who is the victim…”
