Adam Lambert and Queen Opened Last Night’s Academy Awards with a Bang

Adam Lambert Queen OscarsAdam Lambert took the stage with Queen’s original members Brian May and Roger Taylor to open the 61st Annual Academy Awards. The threesome — which have been touring together on and off for the last five years — performed Queen’s classic hits  “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions.”

Adam and Queen were there to support the nominations for the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, which told the story of the legendary band’s early years and its late frontman Freddie Mercury. Bohemian Rhapsody ultimately took home four Oscars on the night.

Taylor Swift Or Nick Jonas Could Be Going Head To Head At The 2018 Oscars‘Tis the season for Oscar buzz. Ahead of the 90th Academy Awards on March 4, 2018, there’s still plenty of time to speculate and argue over who’s the most deserving of a golden statuette for 2017’s work.

But a couple of pop stars are finding themselves named as contenders by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ahead of the official nominations. Both Taylor Swift and Nick Jonas have songs on the long list of “Best Original Song” eligibility.
